Tim, The MFJ Antenna analyzers make good DIP meters. I have used my MFJ-269 as a Dip Meter several times. I prefer it to my Retro-Grid dip meter. Especially since the 269 has a built-in digital count

I do not use the MFJ coils with my MFJ-269. I fabricated simple 2-3 turn link coils of varying diameter attached to a short coax.. The dip will vary depending on the link coupling and circuit Q. 73,

I can vouch for the reliability of the Prop Pitch rotor system. I have used the same small PP rotor since late 1960's. I homebrewed a 500 ohm position feedback system using a modified CDE controller.
