This may be a dumb question, but why can't they seal the top of the tower section so the rain doesn't go into it? If the water can't get into the tower section, seems like that would eliminate a lot

How true!! I had a Gotham 2 element quad up for about 5 years till the wind took the antenna and mast down. Paid $27.50 for it. Oh yeah, I know, aluminum spreaders, etc, won't work, but it did work.

Hi Steve Don't you have to be careful with the tape?? I have heard (or read) that you don't want to pull the tape to break it after taping the coax. Pulling it too hard can damage the dielectric. 73
