Tnx fer all the responses. I made a change to the msdos.sys file and now the machine boots directly to the c:\ prompt and NA appears to run fine. Many thanks to Jon AA1K who sent the instructions on

After the recent posts about NA1057 and keying/band changing I thought I'd better check it out. The rig keys fine in cw and switches bands okay. I used the same setup on the config file as 56 in 57.

Has anyone had luck running NA using one of the free DOS emulators on a windooz machine? The shack 'puter with the original DOS hardrive is getting long in the tooth and may need to be replaced soon.
