The continual tone is more than likely the spot button next to the speed control for CW keyer. Make sure that the button is not pushed in. It is real easy to do. I have done it a few times. There is

I believe it is only 100kHz unless you press the fast and the up/down. Then it will give you 1 MHz. I do no think there is a setting for 10 kHz. Not the answer you were lookig for. Pretty much all of
