I know this may not be the exact answer to your question, but... I bought my 736R new in 1995 if your serial number is higher than mine, it's a 90's, lower 80's. Serial number 5C910017 was purchased

I owned a Mk5 for more than 15 years.  My only failure was the power supply.  I replaced it with an Astron 13.8v & 28v PS. The receive section runs on 13.8vdc and the the transmitter uses 30vdc.   I
