Hello all: I just saw an Ad for a military Technical Material linear that uses a PL-172 or 8895 tube. Ad says 1KW output, continuous tune from 2 to 28 MHz, Key down all day on AM. 4' high rack mount.

I can't give you specs, but this tube was used in the old Hallicrafters HT33 amplifiers (maybe the HT33B also?). I was a fairly hefty ceramic (there were also glass models) tube which I think took 3+

Pretty much the same as the 5CX1500/8295 ,the 4CX1000A/1500B is an equal in most HF applications and can be adapted. The original Penta Labs had some real good products before Eimac destroyed them. T

I have 4 ea 8295A and 2 ea 5CX1500A with 2 ea SK840 breach lock sockets and SK806 chimneys for them. All came from TI employee surplus store in Dallas. Will sell for best offers received in next week
