- The 8K is a Rube Goldberg arrangement of solenoids and motors. The MTBF is rather low due to the complicated circuitry. BTW, Rube Golberg was a cartoonist who showed how to make the simplest project

- I've seen this done on a very large scale in industry although probably not as large as you saw in an earlier life. <:-)). It worked very well. The only real difference would be one of scale...These

- Those switches are good for at least 20 amps, so parallleling contacts is unnecessary, especially as for bandswitches, you don't (or shouldn't!) hot switch. Stacking sections to turn them into n-pole
