Okay, guys...I am now the proud owner of a R.F. Communications, Inc. (is this not now Harris?) Model RF130-AR amp. There must be 100's if not 1,000's of these things in the field. This amp is auto/ma

Hi Marv, Resonant or not, the choke current is high and it varies at a RF rate. I'd be really careful what ferrite I used around the choke, no matter how "loosely coupled" the "choke designer" claims

Hi Marv, I don't have that catalog, but the ratio of parallel resistance to reactance in the charts I have shows 61 material has a ratio of ten at ten MHz. When I look up the specs on 61 shield beads

This is just a comment on separate plate chokes. My diagram for the Collins 30L1 shows only two chokes for four tubes.!! two tubes for one choke. Does that amp have any problems in that respect.?? Ju

What you are looking at is Z1 & Z2 the "parasitic" suppressors. The single plate choke for all 4 tubes is L44. Regards Dave Harmon NSRCA 586 K6XYZ@comcast.net Torrance, Ca. This is just a comment on

Your question certainly did appear. I was about to answer but got distracted. As long as the reactance on 160M is roughly 10 times or more than the input impedence it will be fine. In your case it is
