- Check with drafting/electronics supply sources ... there are "self-laminating" labels designed for both dot matrix and laser printers. These have an area which takes the print and a clear "over wrap

- If you have ever done any model airplanes or such and used the water "slide" decals, laser/inkjet decal sheets are avaliable. A decal and clear paint should do a bunch better than any lable. A Google
