The Phantom amps all used sweep tubes, as far as I've seen. Nowadays the cost to re-tube is astronomical. IMHO the correct price for a CB sweep tube linear is "FREE" and the first thing you should do

Some CB type amps are pretty darn good quality. Many are pure junk. My #1 concern would be the tube complement. If it uses TV sweep tubes or other discontinued types I would probably pass it up. The
