- I always ran my TL-922 in the SSB position. Higher plate voltage gives the same power output at lower plate current. I only used the CW position for initial tune-up. I never had any problem with the

- Gary, Mike's comments point to the limiting factor you asked for - the unit isn't built to 2KW OUTPUT spec's. The unit may be ran at the higher voltage at reduced current limit. The duty cycle of CW
