There is no debate Gary. The worse thing in the world is to put used 3-500Z's in storage, take them out, and high voltage. All you have is a gassy tube or tubes, and whatever components they damaged

Tom, do you consider that this applies to all the similar zirconium coated tubes (Eimac 4-125A, 4-250A, 4-400A etc)? I know the carbon anode version of these tubes made in Europe appear perfectly OK
