Hello Christopher, Thank you for your response to my inquiry. I failed to mention that I intend to use the SG-500 in compressed voice SSB mode, so it should draw about 40 amps with a 40% duty-factor.

I would suggest you plan on 50 - 60 amps average draw, that is what I see with moderately compressed SSB running 450 - 550 PEP. As to my comment on the booster...It is a DC to DC switcher, at beast y
