Three wires, two insulated and one bare ground, is fine as long as there is no current return on the neutral. Most correctoly designed amplifiers are built to float the 240 system and not use a neut

To the department of misinformation: You will need 12/2 for a 240 - volt receptacle. 12/2 cable means it contains 3 wires - hot (black), neutral (white) and ground (bare or green). Read what's stampe

Agreed as well. What can happen is that if someone mistakenly believes that by viewing a 30A breaker that one may also draw 30A from an existing 20A plug/outlet combination without first looking clo

Well here's more bad advice. SO stop it. YOU DON'T NEED three conductors plus ground for a 220 Circuit to power your amplifier. UNLESS you live in some wacked out community that requires a neutral ab

I calculated that if I wanted only a 2% voltage drop for my run and when I went to my lookup charts I found he size wire I needed. So, I went to the next larger size wire and used number #6AWG, three

What do you do about an external power service line drop? How large is one of those drops? What does this do to your amp or output power? 73, Keith NM5G I calculated that if I wanted only a 2% voltag
