- This problem is caused by bad spot-welds on the anode cooler. When such a tube is used, heating/cooling causes the welds to slowly weaken and break. Triton, the company that bought Eimac's glass tub

- Hello Ron, Thank you for answer. I know about this way of "repairing" such tubes, but it works better for the graphite anode ones, because of their higher anode mass/weight. I tried myself for a RE40
