Carl & Roger: I'm really not arguing with you here. However, comparing a 6C21 to a 750T runs contrary to what I know about the tubes. An older, local ham gave me a NIB pair of 6C21s about 25 years ag

data decades ago it can be considered a cross between an Eimac 450 and 750 with a static Pd capability of around 600W. While not a complete answer its filament power does fall between the two. I don

I can't find the thread or initial question leading to this but you are right. It is practically the same as a 450T. different filament voltage and current and slightly different mu. The 6c21 has a p

The filament voltage for the 6C21 in pulse service is 8.3 volts. For normal service it is 7.5 volts. 73, Barrie, W7ALW I can't find the thread or initial question leading to this but you are right. I

I suspect that Orr wrote the filament specs for a common available transformer. I also dont understand derating it for ham service. Machlett designed it as 8.2V @ 18.8A, maybe Eimac made an "improvem

Emission at either voltage is not a problem<:-)) I don't remember the emission limit, but it's way past several amps and the filament voltage is not critical. 73 Roger (K8RI) ________________________

I found a application note by Bill Orr on the tube and it even specs the tube for cathode driven AB2. For about 100 watts drive it produces 900 watts output. I believe the filament was 8.3 volts. I n
