Sounds like K1 has welded contacts and it is a family affair as the 76 series has the same circuit. A semi PITA to replace as its down low and behind the front panel. Carl KM1H ______________________

I have a 87A that has a slightly different problem. When plugged in, but turned off, occasionally a relay starts to chatter randomly. It goes on for a few seconds and then stops until the next time.
