- Joel, Personally I would keep the Commander.. While the Alpha 374 was a great amp, the tubes are more expensive than the single 3CX800, and there is not that much gain from 1100 or 1200 watts verses

- Hi Joel, I am not familiar with the 374A but I have a couple of 1250s and a 2500. The 1250 puts out 1500 watts on most bands, needs very low drive and has the WARC bands and Pat has good support but
