I have never heard of any amp damage due to too much air passing through it. As long as the fan/blower does not suck the tubes out of their sockets, more air circulation has to be better. Manufactur

I believe what he is saying is that the bar graph, peak reading display is showing power by being lit up after one of the transistors shorted. They also have a mechanical meter installed on that unit
