- What does it take to add this to an 87A? Are there mounting holes and a cutout where I can simply add a generic fan and run it from 12V? Thanks and 73, Jim K9YC ______________________________________

- I installed one for a customer. The back of the amp has threaded inserts to accept the normal bolt pattern of the typical muffin fan. I simply used a long enough screw to reach to the amp rear panel.

- I've always included a wire grill under those screws. I don't recall what voltage the fan required. It may have been 115 VAC. _______________________________________________ Amps mailing list Amps@

- My 76PA (3 tubes) already had that fan when it arrived here from a Carribean contest station. It didnt save the amp from a blown transformer, tubes, bandswitch, and more, thanks to very non technical
