On the Gonset, the line filter choke is on the low voltage DC return side of the diode bridge, I assume to reduce 60Hz ripple. It is undamaged. Are you referring to this choke for removal? The 811H s

The GSB-201 has the choke on the - side of the transformer, rather than the positive side. This is the same either way. The negative side has less voltage to ground. The voltage says 1500 volts, whic

52uf is much too much but they use it so this way they do not have to stock more caps.  They use the 270uf in all their amps regardless of how many they use. Thanks, you are correct.  So 210 / 4 = 52
