Standard 600V hookup wire with a Teflon sleeve will be a fraction of the diameter and a whole lot easier to use. Test prod wire is another option and you can get that from Mouser, etc. A problem with

There is a tendency for the foam to compress reducing the effective depth of insulation particularly on bends or in the extreme for the centre conductor to work through the foam insulation. Regards
