Jose, The fact that Yaesu output drops to 20 w seems to be an important symptom. There are two things that cause Yaesu output to drop: A) VSWR too high at output of Yaesu -- check input vswr of amp.

If you lose a tube because of loss of filament current...loose socket or whatever, then the input impedance to the amp would change and the Yaesu would drop it's output power due to high vswr? Chuck,

My 3K-A threw a shoe like that once -- the output dropped and got very distorted. A quick look inside revealed only one lit tube, so I cleaned up the contacts in the socket and it has been fine since

Daniel, I got my Henry 3K-A (which is THE one to have, in my opinion unless you can lay out the $$$ for a 5K or something) for less than $1000 and that's after new tubes and new High Voltage Rectifie

I've had a lot of Henry console amps over the past 40 years and worked with them in the development of the 3K Classic Mk III, which became the 3K Premier. By "worked with them," I mean I was the one

Any thoughts on why my Henry has decided to operate as an attenuator? The tubes check out as good in another amp. The amp appears to tune and load. The relays checked out okay w/ only an ohmmeter. Wh

The tune control is a roller coil. Make sure you have the correct numbers in the window for the band you are on....and that you have an antenna or dummy connected. Ditto the load control. Dave Harmon

Dave: Be sure that the band switch knob has not shifted so you know you are trying to load the right band. If you are drawing good grid current, then the drive is getting to the tubes. How about plat
