- Hi, anybody knows if M4G5 diodes(used in Drake L4B amp. PS) are still available? If so, what is the source? I don't need many, just a few. Thanks. Yuri VE3DZ _________________________________________

- Yuri, The M4G5 is a 600 Volt, 3 amp diode. I would replace it with a 1N5408 which is a 1000 Volt, 3 amp. The case style is different but is the same type (rectifier) diode. Will Matney Hi, anybody kn

- Yuri, Not necessarily, you may get by with replacing the one diode with the 1N5408. I think the 1N5406 is the 600 V, 3 amp. They should all have a drop of about 0.7 volts a piece. I only found one da

- Ian is correct. You might get lucky replacing just the one but if its values is different than the others, it will most likely lead to premature failure. Anytime I have one rectifier in a HV string b
