With those tubes they are probably very close. All this matching nonsense didnt come along until sweep tubes and then import junk. Cant forget the 8122 either, RCA's contribution to infamy. Carl KM1H

I withdraw my observation due to lack of attention to detail on my part. You are of course correct. A 4-250A is an internal anode glass envelope tube. A 4CX250(B) is an external ceramic/metal tube. A
