To Carl and all..My reference to circlips obviously has a different meaning in your lingo.....The "circlips" I refer to are used on shafts to hold bearings etc in place and are not a closed circle..T

Those and C Clips require a groove in the form, not something usually found on ceramic. I was thinking of the brass strap that will snap over a form of any material and stay reasonably in place until
