Took a look inside the top of the SB-220, and sure enough - I've melted the filament out of the pins on the left-hand 3-500. No wonder the input SWR is off... 73, Pete N4ZR The World Contest Station

I believe Ive mentioned many times that operating WARC is best done in the CW position with that amp and around 750-800W. The fan should also be kept clean as well as the motor cleaned and lubed. Cle
