In my option,I'd like tetrode.it only needs screen and grid PS, it is more easy than the multiband switchable input network. And the NOS tube is very easy to get in reasonable price. Hsu ____________

Too bad the 4CX-1600B is no longer available. I had planned on getting one of the Alpha 6-mneter amps, then I thought of building one myself. At one time I had 4 4CX1500s. Kinda wish I had them back

Amp Supply LK-500 series is about as simple as it gets. The Ameritron AL-82 is another but would cost a bit more to duplicate. And if you have some basic computational skills the SB-220 can be extend

Yeah, go solid state if you want any efficiency on 6M. I havent seen a "conversion" that adds 6M to a HF amp that is worth the paper to print it on. I get those butcher jobs in here on a regular basi
