The easiest way would be to use a single-pole relay or switch contact to parallel the lower-voltage Zener with the higher-voltage one. When in circuit, the lower-voltage Zener will go into conduction

Steve,   I placed the two zener diodes in series and used a set of relay contacts to bypass one of the diodes to lower the zener voltage and make the tube run hotter (or cooler).   73   ko0m Consider

Hi Steve, Leave the high voltage one in circuit continuously and just switch in the lower voltage part in parallel with it when you need less bias. 73 & Happy New Year! Marv WC6W http://wc6w.50webs.c

...put the 2 in series! Choose the smaller one for whatever voltage you need and the second equal to the difference of the smaller voltage and the higher one. Then you can short out the second one wi

Hi Steve, I suppose you use a low power zener and 2n3055: If you just connect via a relay of single pole switch the lower valued zener in parallel with the higher voltage zener all would be fine. Gl,

Steve, you can avoid the problem by wiring in the higher voltage zener permanently and using your switch to connect the lower voltage zener in parallel with the higher voltage zener. When both zeners

Considering the common zener bias circuit (with the 2n3055 and resistor), what precautions should be taken if I wanted two different zeners (and associated bias voltages) selected by a switch or rela
