Bob, Think about it a bit...sitting in the zone 8 Caribbean locations...easily 40-50% of the contacts made from those locations are US/VE...I've been contesting from the Caribbean for over 10 years..

It is very telling that, until an American ham like me and lately Bob (N6BK+HS), move to South East Asia that we realize just how much ARRL and many CQ contests are skewed to serve the good ole USA/N

Well if you are referring to the WAE or the AA, those contests are one region vs the rest of the world, and the 2 groups are ranked separately, as would be expected since they compete under different

DARC puts on a party which favors DL/EU, JARL puts on a party which favors JA/AS, SRR puts on a party which favors UA, and it follows that ARRL or CQ will put on a party which favors W/NA.  Funny how
