Take a look at CQWW SSB (2015) and CQWPX SSB (2016) (raw) scores for other counties too, besides the USA. Long standing records in these other countries have mysteriously been doubled or more so by W

The USA SOSB 160 LP CW record by K4WI was submitted to 3830 as SOSB 10 LP which makes sense. He even commented how bad 10 was. Could this be a typo error at CQ? Were all logs cross checked in 2002? I

That typographical error originated in the 2002 CQWW CW line scores published in CQ magazine, it then propagated into the CQWW records. That error is so obvious that it was easy to diagnose, h ow man
