Hi Dennis, Turn the transceiver off, then press and hold the SUB and ENT keys at the lower corners of the keypad and then press the power switch. This should reset the micros and clear the memories.

John I had the same problem a few years back. I received the radio via UPS and when powered up had same problem as you are having. I thought there might be a loose connection on one of the ribbon cab
