Try some in-the-ear phones, instead of over-the-ear, at least for CW where you don't need a mic attached. My current favorite is the Sony MDR-W08. They weigh about a half an ounce and cost under $10!

you probably are using the wrong headphones, I have no problems at all with my Sennheiser boommount with open headphones anymore; before it was impossible to wear Heil headphones longer then 3 hours
