I don't believe that the precise ITU zone borders are what the contest sponsors expect you to use. If they were, I would be in zone 10, not zone 6. Besides, how could anyone actually know what zone t

How do you know what someone is supposed to send? Seriously? That issue aside... and frankly, I agree that you copy what was sent, even if it disagrees with what you (or the computer logging program)

Actually, getting the precise zone is quite important because of the zone-based scoring (1 pt same zone/3 points other zones). I bet that if you are in zone 10, your score will be higher by 15-20% co

This event, specifically an IARU event, not an ARRL event, has been around for years. Why the sudden confusion? The event calls upon participants to send their "ITU zone." The page http://iaru.org/i

First off, I was wrong (also rather rude) to criticize Joe for not sending the "normal" zone for Wisconsin and I apologize for that. I didn't realize it then, but there are several instances where IT

I don't see why this is so hard. Determine your ITU zone to the best of your ability. Send the SAME zone to everyone you work in the contest (i.e. don't change mid-stream). 73 - Jim AD1C
