Kelly, If you have TS850S with at least 500Hz CW filter - KEEP IT. Nothing in this price group can beat TS850 as a contest radio. I have an IC746 with all filters since 2000. It is not better than 85

I have just the opposite opinion. I've owned both the TS-850S/AT and the IC-746PRO and would take the ICOM any day. The '850 has serious leakage around the filters while the '746PRO has none at all.

Igor, 746PRO is different from 746. PRO is completely digital similarly to TS870. My friend YU1AO has had one and sold it because of overloading problem. IC765 is a very good radio, but IT IS A BIIIG
