Hi all, Reviews of the 746PRO, even as late as two months ago, range from "best radio I've ever bought" (perhaps from someone coming out of an Eico 753) to "don't buy this radio if it's the last thin

Kelly, If you have TS850S with at least 500Hz CW filter - KEEP IT. Nothing in this price group can beat TS850 as a contest radio. I have an IC746 with all filters since 2000. It is not better than 85

I have to agree with that. They go for around $700 - $900 in this area, which is very reasonable. I got mine for $900 but it was owned by a non-smoker and was (and still is) in absolutely mint condit

I would prefer TS850 over IC746 for contest radio. Having said that there is slightly better one in the same price class. That is IC-765. I would prefer IC-765 over 850 not only because of more suita

Indeed 746PRO has serious quality problems. My brother sent it back for service already twice within the firs year of use. Now the radio needs to be sent for service yet again. Almost everybody who h

Hello Valeri, TS850 is great if it is used for SO. MO and SO2R will have problems with dirty RF output. Does anybody know a mod to make output spectrum cleaner? At present I do not know anything bett

Igor, 746PRO is different from 746. PRO is completely digital similarly to TS870. My friend YU1AO has had one and sold it because of overloading problem. IC765 is a very good radio, but IT IS A BIIIG
