I would say that the asker (N2MM) should have called you on 15 meters. A related question, which isn't as clear is "how should N2MM call you" ? Should he specifically call you (i.e. K3KU de N2MM), or

When I move I tune quickly to see if the guy is already there so I can answer him. Failing that, calling CQ seems like a productive thing to do. I want to be doing something that helps my score and I

Hi Art. Great question. I always assumed the "asker" would either call CQ on the QSY freq, or would call the "askee." For me, I always call the "askee," but my friend and local competitor K5PI always

Art, If you qsy and hear him transmitting, work him. If you qsy and don't hear him transmitting, call *him*. If he does not answer, it would be nice to go back to the original frequency and let him k

I'd agree with you Dick... calling CQ is worth the effort, you never know who was listening and following and you're there anyway... go for it, you could open a whole new front ;o) 73, Julius Julius

I can think of several reasons that the requestor should call, and should probably CQ. That's what I do. First, if the requestor is a M/2, they will almost certainly already be calling CQ on the targ

All of these answers sound great. So much of this answer is dependent upon your specific station setup and contest strategy that it's very hard to give an answer. Here's my HO on what to think about

One thing is missing from all of these... Which contest are you in?? Your approach most likely will depend on the contest, a state QSO Party would be different than SS and CQ WW DX would be different
