I have 2 radios that I would like to be able to use in dual receive mode, meaning I can listen to both at the same time. They would be using 1 antenna, and only one radio would be used for transmitti

Hi John, I am not sure what you are trying to accomplish, but at first thought, however you will achieve it will most likely be extremely complicated (if not impossible) and costly. As soon as you tr

Assuming you don't want to listen and transmit on the same band with the same antenna at the same time - You would need some sort of interlock device and a splitter. A much better approach is to use

I, too, am entirely confused by the question. If you want to just work split, that's what two VFOs are for. SO2R is nothing like John's question. 73, kelly, ve4xt Sent from my iPad __________________

What I believe John wants is quite simple, and relatively straightforward to implement, but as far as I can see it has little to do with SO2R. As I understood it, he wants to be able to listen to two

Do the radios have RX antenna inputs/outputs? If you use radio 1 for transmit, connect the RX out to a 3dB splitter (e.g. Mini-Circuits) and one output back to RX ant in on radio 1 and the other to R

One of the radios (Kenwood TS2000) has an RX ant jack. The other radio (Yaesu FT891) just has a SO239 for the antenna, no RX in or out jacks. I have found a couple of different devices that will allo

Hi Rich, Yes, that is what I am hoping to accomplish and I have found a couple of different devices to allow this. Interesting that the 7600 and FTDX5000 have RX in and out jacks since they both alre

Possibly he has two old radios with only 1 VFO each that he wants to RX with? If that was the case, could he not simply remove the antenna from the other radio with a switch whenever one of the radio
