Hello all, Hope it's oK to ask this on this forum. Trying to figure out if it's worthwhile to make one delta loop that will cover most of CW and lower part of SSB. Does anyone have up a full wave del

I have used one for years and feed it with open wire line so no worries about covering both ends of the band -- but since I rarely go any higher than 3600 it's not a worry. Pete, W1RM W1RM@Comcast.ne

Darrel I have a pair of delta loops in a phased configuration. They are very effective. Here are my thoughts: -There are two ways of feeding them which result in either horizontal or vertical polariz

What configuration?  Like a Pyramid, or a flat top one? Actually does not matter, will the lowest part be not to high to be accessible? In other words make the loop resonant in the phone portion, the

Darrell: I just ran an old one I had in EZnec. The 2:1 SWR bandwidth is about 280 Khz. I remember an old article by L B Cebik that described a way you can broadband an 80 meter antenna simply by usin

I no longer do this at my current station but used to have an 80M delta loop (single) and did exactly what Tony suggests. I used open wire - 450 Ohm line as the stub and I just had a shorting clip to

At PJ2T we built them for phone and we add length to make them work on CW.  In that installation we have ceramic knife switches installed as insulators that we just go out in the yard and change over

Feed with balanced line? Thumbs up! Use vacuum relays? Thumbs down. I'm SHOCKED that DX Engineering or MFJ haven't already designed a remote switch box, to peddle to unsuspecting suckers for $500 min

Im not clear on why Im a sucker, but I bought an automatic antenna switch from DX Engineering. I have built remote switches before, but now I just buy what I need. Chuck W5PR ________________________
