This is not exactly so. EVERY single one that I have ever seen, is biased properly for SSB operation. In fact they had a switch on the front to change the dealy of the antenna change over circuit for

Actually the one I have was designed for either AM or SSB. It has a switch for either mode which changes the bias to the approiate level. I think you will find this true of most cb amps. Most of them

Does that switch REALLY change the bias? In many VHF amps all it does is change the time delay on the RF sensing, adding a capacitor to make some hang on SSB. And then what is the bias circuit for SS
