I have a couple of quick questions: Is there a (cheap) single user KarlNet software for the RG-1000/RG-1100 ? Is the Lucent WavePOINT II AP the same hardware as the Orinoco AP-1000? Will it run the s
I think Charles at CWLab has the best deal going for a CPE with KarlNet. I haven't had an opportunity to try it out yet, but it looks good to me. It is an RG1000 with POE and Karlnet. Seems like $275
Here is my thinking: I can pick up a RG-1100 for $150 at any of several places (http://shopper.cnet.com/shopping/resellers/0-11644-311-6632196-3.html?fl=0&tag=st.sh.11644-311-6632196.sort.price), if
$275 for POE and outdoor box is a good deal (and karlnet license)<o:p></o:p> <![if !supportEmptyParas]> <![endif]><o:p></o:p> Dan Metcalf<o:p></o:p> Wireless Broadband Systems<o:p></o:p> dan.metcalf@
The Karlnet CPE from CWLab and others is an RG-1000 w/ Karlnet already loaded, in a NEMA box modified to accept POE. Add a pigtail to your antenna or get an antenna with a sufficiently sized pigtail
yes yes - SR-4000: list price: $65 Will it run the same >(KarlNet) firmware? yes successfully as a cheap CPE? cheapest of the cheap is the NDIS driver ($20), however, you lose a lot of remote manage

I though the ap1000 had a 133mhz and the wavepoint II has a 66mhz?? Since Karlnet uses polling this will have an impact Dan Metcalf Wireless Broadband Systems dan.metcalf@wbsysnet.com 781-658-2075 ww
It seems like you are re-inventing the wheel. Talk to Charles cwu@cwlab.com He has it ready all in a box. Dimitri --Original Message-- From: karlnet-admin@WISPNotes.com [mailto:karlnet-admin@WISPNote
sorry, I mistated earlier, meant that it is still possible load KarlNet on a wavepoint II agreed, but only if he's putting a base load on it - satellite loads shouldn't have too much of a problem -C
Charles, When you refer the satellite loads? Do you mean as the wavepoint II is a base with satellites off the wireless side? Or the wavepoint II as a the satellite? Dan Metcalf Wireless Broadband Sy

It is an upgrade to RGs ? Is it Turbocell or SEC ? I'd like to know more of what it can and cannot do. It will make more affordable CPEs. Thanks. Regards, Indra Nusantara
