After the recent posts about NA1057 and keying/band changing I thought I'd better check it out. The rig keys fine in cw and switches bands okay. I used the same setup on the config file as 56 in 57.

Upon further investigation the timing problem seems to be isolated to the use of the radio bandwitch buttons and not the ALT up or down on the computer keyboard. When using the ALT up or down on the
