Though not a RFI issue, perhaps someone has the solution? When I connect my Bose QC2 noise cancelling headphones to my K3 I get a hum which is only heard in the right headphone. It sounds like a 60 c

Perhaps the radio is a mono output and the headphones are stereo...when used with a mono jack you may be shorting one side to a ground loop... try getting a mono to stereo converter jack. 73, dave wa

Hi Gary! This is really a strange problem. Maybe there is a wiring issue as WA3GIN points out. We use QC-2 headphones at K3LR. They work really well. The operators love them. I've never heard of anyo

If what you hear is HUM (pure 60 Hz) rather than BUZZ (little or no 60 Hz, but lots of 180, 360, 420, etc.) suspect a magnetic field coupling problem. If what you hear is BUZZ, suspect power-related

Jim, Definitely a hum as opposed to a buzz. As I sit this moment with them on, the hum is on the right. Turning off the AStron Linear supply to the K3 & bench does nothing to attenuate the hum. Turni

It could be a problem with the headphones as well. I had a pair of sony noise cancelling ones that developed this same problem. If you ground yourself - it probably reduces the amount of AC your body

You may have a magnetic field problem due to wiring errors in your AC power distro. There must be ONE, BUT ONLY ONE, bond between neutral and ground in any power system, and that bond must be at the
