I would look for a mis-wired power outlet -- hot and neutral or neutral and ground interchanged. Another thing to check -- every Astron I've opened up to check has a green wire that is not connected

Mine did that when I ran an electric coffee pot upstairs. A line monitor indicated about a 6 volt drop in the AC circuit and the RS-35 would hum. Pot heater turned off, voltage went up, humming stop

Folks, if you are experiencing this sort of voltage drop, I believe that you have a problem in your house wiring! You may have bad duplex outlets or there may be high resistance connections ANYWHERE

We have a Keurig single cup coffee maker (MODEL B145) at work and it's a very high current device (1500 watt rating which would be 12.5 amps). On a 15 amp outlet circuit that typically uses 14 gauge

The crowbar circuit trips on RF a lot. I've seen this on several Astrons I own. Lots of ferrite on the leads helps. Could you expand on that? Exactly what symptoms have you experienced? 73, Jim K9YC
