As PC speakers are very cheap, I would be inclined to follow the suggestion from Palomar Engineers, but also take round with me some speakers that have been tested as 'rf proof' in my own shack. 73 R

I recently upgraded my PC speakers to a low-priced set from Altec Lansing. Not only do they sound much better then the oE speakers that came with my Micron PC but I have no RFI from the amp (AL-811H)

My Compaq is a high end system and came with JBL Pro speakers which are relatively inexpensive amplified and shielded speakers and do not pick up any RF setting 5 feet from a KW and 30 feet from 40,8
