See my advice on killing RX noise. k9yc.com/publish.htm  It starts with replacing all SMPS with linear. How much current do you need? Does it need to be regulated? What frequencies are you concerned

I have used type 43 and 31 half inch s snap on cores. Wind at least 3 turns into the core. I used stranded cat 5e winds better. Fixed the carriers on the wire. _______________________________________

I've have used shielded cat 5 with very good results.  The pre-made cables with shielded/ground connectors. See my advice on killing RX noise. k9yc.com/publish.htm  It starts with replacing all SMPS
