I've seen exactly that, Tom. It was a CFL that I had in a table lamp. Quiet when new, noisy 3-5 years later. No visible sign that it was failing, only new noise in the radio. 73, Jim K9YC ___________

Both of these lights showed a little difficulty starting, but once lit, they looked normal. It really is insidious isn't it? Tom w0IVJ I've seen exactly that, Tom. It was a CFL that I had in a table
