David, you can still get incandescent bulbs. While you cant get a bulb specifically at 100 watts, you can get them at a reduced wattage and, I think they are just as bright. I am looking at a box I

I would be very hesitant to use a published list of quiet bulbs. Many of the big box stores are constantly buying new products from new suppliers, sometimes keeping the same model numbers, but with e

I've switched the whole house over to Wal-Mart's 60W dimmable bulbs. They are quiet as far as I can tell, and they are $1.88 here, probably subsidized by the local electric company. The 100W LED's ar

100 watt 130 volt rough service bulbs are still being made. They are considered a "specialty" bulb. Three-way bulbs also escaped the ban. Halogen equivalents are available. They are not $0.25 a piece

Go to 1000Bulbs and buy all the rough service bulbs that you need. Go to http://www.txlampparts.net/ to purchase 3 way lamp cord switches that will dim the bulb to half light. Use them on all lamps.
