I don't think the minuscule speed decrease is a factor. In my mind, it just Ed is spot on, but there is a little more to it. I'm acclimated to TOO. I know a SHIFT got corrupted AND I know NUMBER is c

Agreed, but W0YK suggested to me that these keys be programmed with the info just once. Then press the key as many times as you would like to send that data. So you could send just the serial no. onc

YES! Ive learned a bunch from W0YK but this is one of the biggies. It seems so obvious yet I never thought of it. It makes your macros completely adaptable to conditions. At least a dozen times in S&

Six repeats of a serial number may be appropriate in some instances but certainly not all, and I would argue not even the majority of instances. Based on conditions and the specific moment the repeat

Often I am leery of asking for repeats, since the station is likely to send the whole exchange again and I still may not get what I am looking for. I really like Ed's idea of hitting the F-key multip

If you add a CR/LF to the end of the macro it will print on a new line each time. Make sure you add space to the end of the macro (123<space> so they do not print "123123123" if you choose not to use

If you ask for a repeat, you are likely to get a repeat of everything. But if you specify what you want repeated, then you should only get that. Stan, K4SBZ "Real radio bounces off the sky." ________

Regardless what particularly you ask for a repeat, you will only get what people had pre-programmed before the contest. If there is just a single macro containing a full exchange, that's the only thi

If the station does not have a message programmed to just send the serial number, they can easily go to keyboard mode and type the serial number only several times. Ed W0YK __________________________
