Sorry if this is a dumb question. What would happen if I transmitted AFSK RTTY on USB rather than LSB. I am taking a QRP rig to the arctic for PSK, but it does not transmit LSB, only USB. If I try ca

What software are you using? MMTTY has a 'rev' feature which will let you transmit in reverse. That might do it. 73 Tom W7WHY _______________________________________________ RTTY mailing list RTTY@co

You may want to look at fldigi. The default sideband for all modes, including RTTY is USB. And yes, it properly sends and receives right side up without using the Reverse feature. I have over 1300 RT

No might - would. As long as the OP makes sure that whichever software is generating the AFSK tones "knows" that he is transmitting USB and he'll be fine. -- Peter Laws | N5UWY | plaws plaws net | Tr

You will be transmitting/receiving in reverse (RTTY is polarity sensitive). So, Mark and Space will be reversed. In addition the 'dial' frequency will be 'off' in the reverse direction. The AFSK tone

That statement is correct for BPSK31 (and BPSK63), but not for QPSK31. "PSK31" is actually DPSK (*differential* phase shift keying) together with sinusoidal envelope shaping to control the bandwidth.
