Depending on one's objectives in RTTY contesting several alternatives could be considered "best". WriteLog/MMTTY and N1MM Logger/MMTTY are the most popular software configurations used in recent RTT

I agree with the two statements by Ed. In addition, tuning an RTTY signal is an excercise in "precision". If you are not within 100 Hz or so, the decoder will probably not decode the signal for you.
